WasThatBefore is a free daily timeline game. Every day you get five historical events from across film, music, sport, science, politics, and more. Your job is simple - drag them into the correct chronological order. Most people get it wrong.

The game is inspired by the feeling of arguing with friends about whether something happened before or after something else. Did the iPhone come out before or after the first Harry Potter film? Was Minecraft released the same year as the Arab Spring? These are the moments that make you say "no way!" and want to challenge someone.

Each puzzle is designed to surprise you. Events are picked across different categories so you can't just pattern-match within one domain. A puzzle mixing the Moon landing, Pac-Man, and the fall of the Berlin Wall is harder (and more fun) than five films from the same decade.

There's one global puzzle each day, plus regional packs for the USA, UK, EU, and Australia with events specific to those places. State and country-level packs go even deeper into local history, sport, and culture.
